Passo di Foppa (1880m)

Probably one of the heaviest pass in the Alps (see profile) with 6km at more than 11 %; hard. This climb has been used several times by the Giro d'Italia; it is better known as Mortirolo. The "official" name (Passo di Foppa) is to be used for finding it on a map (even though, there are new indications on the roads with the other name). The start of the hardest climb (western side) is located at Mazzo di Valtellina, on the road S38 between Tirano and Bormio, near from the Tirano north.
